After spending eleven years doing research at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the University of California, Berkeley, Alain Brizard is now an assistant professor of physics at Saint Michael's College in Vermont. He holds a Ph.D. in astrophysics from Princeton University. Dr. Brizard is a theoretical plasma physicist with over 50 publications on space and fusion plasma physics as well as applications of plasma physics in astrophysics and cosmology.
